Continuing Support of the Chernobyl Children's Lifeline

We are again proud to help sponsor this great charity.

The Chernobyl story has been in many homes recently since the new TV show was released a few months ago and has raised the awareness to many people who had never realised the affect this major disaster had to the area and the people.

Unfortunately for children, the future looks bleak - their home towns are still heavy with low-level radiation, causing higher levels of thyroid cancer and numerous illnesses.

The Chernobyl Children's Lifeline aims to provide a respite for these children by UK families having children stay with them for 4 weeks. Studies have shown that a stay of only 4 weeks in the UK can help to boost their immune systems so much that it can take up to 2 years for them to fall back to the previous levels.

One of our team has been helping the charity for the last few years and has look after a child every year. And of course we want to support and help raise money to look after the children whilst in the UK.

Today we have one of the many Cakes Days to help raise funds.

There are many ways to help this charity, you can contact;

  • them directly on the link below
  • donate via the go fund page
  • send them children's clothes
  • send them medicines that are cheap in the UK and expensive over there
