Windows Server 2008 End of Life

Posted by   manager on    27 June 2019

On the 14th January 2020 the Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2 operating system will reach its end of life.

This means that Microsoft will no longer support this version and provide any updates, including security updates.

Many companies are still using this operating system to run critical servers and infrastructure and with only 200 days left to go its time to make the change.

With today's technology there are many choices, either continue with the same on premise infrastructure and upgrade to Windows Server 2016 or you can consider the cloud.

There are numerous benefits to both choices which we can help you go through, however the cloud has become very popular over the last few years and provides additional benefits including high security and easier upgrades.

Contact our team to talk more about how you can migrate your existing MultiFreight system to the cloud or arrange to move to a new server.
